We’re very excited to announce the winners of the Ashoka Changemakers/FBL “Closing the Loop” competition! After paring an initial entry pool of 184 entries to a group of 13 finalists, the competition judges have selected the following three top winners:
1) Transparência e Integridade (Portugal): Winner of a LabStorm with Feedback Labs
Transparência e Integridade is creating a platform for people to get information from their governments. They are at an early stage, so we are awarding them what we call a LabStorm– the ability to come together with all of the Feedback Labs members for a couple of hours to get feedback , advice, and make connections that could accelerate their prototype
2) IntegrityAction: Closing the Loop (Afghanistan): Winner of Associate Partnership in Feedback Labs
IntegrityAction creates feedback loops that enable local communities to ensure aid projects in Afghanistan are properly implemented. But Integrity Action’s work goes far beyond Afghanistan, and they are a real pioneer in this field. So we have awarded them the status of Associate Member of Feedback Labs itself.
3) Good World Solutions: Labor Link (Bangladesh): Winner of the $10,000 cash prize
Good World Solutions have created a service (Labor Link) that gives voice to the global workforce so that companies such as Cisco and Patagonia can align their sourcing practices with workers’ own needs.
