Introduction to Feedback

This 75-minute session explores the reasons to prioritize feedback in social impact work, including more equitable programmatic outcomes, and introduces the closed feedback loop, a methodology for systematically collecting, analyzing, and responding to feedback from constituents. The session highlights case studies and provides the space for participants to reflect on their current feedback practice.

Feedback Crash Course

This course is offered as a four-week virtual course or a one-day intensive workshop. Together, we walk step-by-step through a high-quality, equitable, closed feedback loop, sharing practical tips, tools, and examples for each step of the feedback process. Participants engage in personal reflection, small group discussions, and hands-on exercises to develop their feedback skills. The course culminates in the creation of a personalized feedback action plan. Participants also have the option of taking a certification exam at the end of the course to become certified feedback practitioners.

Topical Feedback Deep Dives

These interactive 90-minute sessions dive deeper into specific feedback topics that are a priority for your organization or nonprofit community. Deep Dives can serve as standalone sessions or build on each other for advanced learning. Recent deep dive topics have included Feedback as a Tool for Equity, Survey Design & Asking the Right Questions, and Making Sense of Feedback Through Constituent Dialogue, and Feedback for International Development. The sessions use case studies, personal reflection, small group discussions, and live simulations to help participants identify practical strategies to apply within their organizations.

Feedback Peer-Learning Sessions

Peer-learning sessions are designed for individuals who have experience collecting feedback from constituents of their organizations. Sessions are highly customized to the audience using pre-surveys. During the session, participants share feedback successes, tools, and insights and collaboratively brainstorm around collective feedback challenges. Participants walk away with a crowd-sourced feedback tip sheet for future use.
