On an operational level, chief executives are accountable to trustees but trustees are not accountable to anyone. Moreover, trustee boards are increasingly concentrated with high net-worth individuals. Are these types of people able to understand and cater to the needs of the type of people their charities’ aim to serve? How can beneficiary feedback help?
