Fariha is a rising senior at the University of Rochester, where she studies Economics and Applied Mathematics. Coming from Bangladesh, she is passionate about empowering communities and has interest in development research. Previously, Fariha has interned in Ashoka Bangladesh and Innovations for Poverty Action. As a junior, Fariha completed an economics research class where she investigated the differential impact of COVID on refugee communities.

In her spare time, Fariha likes to bike, cook and travel around. She also likes learning languages, and is fluent in Bengali and English, while conversational in French and Spanish.
